many thanks!

Pammy on Aug 7th 2008 11:24 am

Below is the update from Tanya Rouce, a friend and colleague who put her heart and ’sole’ into raising money for a great cause earlier this year. »

Thanks to the generosity of my friends, family, and new friends I have never even met, I was able to raise more than $1800 for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer this year! I am so proud to say that I made it – all 39.3 miles – and I crossed the finish line full of pride, hope and gratitude for everyone who donated, prayed and supported me along the way. I am also incredibly proud of my team…just 15 of us raised more than $53,000, and made it into the Top 10 Fundraisers of all of the DC Teams!

More than 3,500 participants in the DC walk together raised more than $8.1 million local, regional and national breast cancer organizations.

Thank you again for your support of this amazing organization and phenomenal cause! Tanya Rouce

happy new year!

Pammy on Jan 30th 2008 07:12 pm

At the beginning of each new year we all try to do better than we did last year. This year I encourage everyone to GIVE MORE. Give your time, share your ideas, spread the wealth. Volunteer when you can, donate to a favorite or local charity, lend a helping hand.

Take a look at my ‘friendly links’ to link into a few organizations that are close to me – maybe this will inspire you. There is also a link to a friends page for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.

Give more, give freely, and give often. It’s as easy as buying Girl Scout cookies - and we all love those.

on display

On any given day there is a conference somewhere. Gearing up for a conference takes months of preparation. For me it usually starts with creating the theme, then expanding those ideas to the printed materials and ultimately the booth. I always enjoy the creativity that goes along with these conferences - lots of clever details and plenty of fun.

I have been lucky to work with open-minded clients, talented illustrators and great vendors to help pull it all together. Click over to what’s new to view some samples and get more details.

park-creative.com: working the web

Pammy on May 5th 2007 03:30 pm

This month we are concentrating on web design. Even though I am very much a “paper person”, I do occasionally create web sites. Updating my own site has been my biggest accomplishment thus far. We all know how hard it is to dedicate time to your own “stuff”.

park-creative.com is published using WordPress, a “personal publishing platform” that allows anyone with Web access to edit and update their own website.

Working with McBuzz Communications to personalize my site was the key. McBuzz’s Mark McLaren makes creating web sites so much less painful and gives you more insight than you ever felt possible. Visit Mark’s new site to get detailed information on web marketing, business blogging and search engine optimization.

Five years ago, software like WordPress was prohibitively expensive for all but medium or large corporations. Today, you can download WordPress for free.

Installation is relatively easy. If you know how to use FTP software, you can do it yourself. And, if that proves too difficult, many web hosting companies will install WordPress for you.

WordPress is not just “blogging” software. You can use it to create and maintain sophisticated websites that allow visitors to comment and share ideas. The Ford Motor Company Global Auto Shows website is a state-of-the-art PR and marketing website running on WordPress.

let’s talk logos

Pammy on Apr 3rd 2007 04:30 pm

Clients are often in need of a logo: a graphic symbol that identifies their business. It may be as simple as that. And then there are clients who need the total package: an identity system that consists of a logo with accessories - graphic icons, font usage, accent colors, and guidelines.

Whatever the criteria, each logo development is unique and that’s what makes creating logos so much fun and always a challenge.

This month’s feature provides the thinking behind the look — see if you can relate.
